Ok everyone, we know the kappa scores for various examination tests are not great and that most examination tests we do have likelihood ratios that will not change significantly our diagnostic accuracy. However we cannot measure the crucial importance of a therapeutic examination. When all the statistics are said and done we will make mistakes and waste a therapeutic opportunity if we do not touch the patient. I hope you find the TED talk by Dr Abraham Verghese inspiring: https://www.ted.com/talks/abraham_verghese_a_doctor_s_touch
